Softchoice best practice for implementing Cisco Unified Communication Manager

This whitepaper discusses how Softchoice used a different approach for one of the major healthcare organizations to migrate legacy PBX of five independent hospitals to one centralized CUCM cluster and the addition of IMP, CER and CMS. There were almost four thousand phones combined, and over 90% of phones had shared lines. The TAPS method did not allow shared line phone registration, and it would have been a mammoth task to insert or update four thousand phones individually manually. Preconfigure phones in CUCM with MAC addresses was not an option to do the size of the hospital and storage facility and logistics.
